Meet Dr. Eric Hickman
Dr. Hickman, a native of Lucasville, Ohio, has been serving Southern Ohio since 1995. He received his Dental Degree (DDS) from The Ohio State University in 1993, and graduated from his Orthodontic Residency at the University of Louisville in 1995. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Keely Dental Society of Butler County. He has served as an officer for the Southwest Ohio Dental Seminars Study Club as well as being a Past-President of the Keely Dental Society. Dr. Hickman has been recognized yearly by Deerfield Township for his sponsorship of the Kings Character Award Scholarship.
Dr. Hickman began his orthodontic career in 1995, as an Associate Orthodontist in practices in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. In March of 1997, Dr. Hickman left his associateships behind and opened his Landen (Cincinnati) practice on Columbia Road in the Morand Building. The office was quaint, but it could not accommodate the increased patient flow as the practice grew. In 2003, in the midst of remodeling, a fire destroyed the Morand Building. Therefore, the practice was moved to its current location on Montgomery Road/US 22-3 in Landen. In 2014 Dr. Hickman opened the Liberty Township office, which continues to grow with the community.
The Landen and Liberty Township offices now require more than just Dr. “Eric” Hickman. It is with great pleasure that we introduce Dr. “Sarah” Hickman. Dr. Sarah is the newest Orthodontist at Hickman Orthodontics, and she is Dr. Hickman’s daughter. Dr. Hickman is not shy about the addition of Dr Sarah, “I am so proud to have Sarah follow in my footsteps! I know that Hickman Orthodontics will be in good hands into the foreseeable future. I am a very fortunate dad.” In his free time, Dr. Hickman and his wife, Jennifer, enjoy their time golfing, boating, reading, and traveling.
The success of Hickman Orthodontics can be attributed to the support and referrals of the surrounding family dentists, existing patients, and the community. Referrals from family and friends are the greatest compliment an orthodontist can receive. Dr. Hickman is committed to providing the highest quality orthodontic treatment in a comfortable environment. Dr. Hickman believes in treating his patients as he would treat members of his own family and strives to make his younger and older patients alike comfortable in the orthodontic setting. Dr. Hickman enjoys a great reputation in the community and truly appreciates the support and referrals of existing patients and their family dentists.
