Meet Dr. Eric Hickman
Dr. Hickman’s approach to care is deeply rooted in community and family. He strives to treat every patient with the same attention and care he’d offer to his own family. In fact, that’s one reason why many younger and older patients alike feel comfortable in his office—he’s helped multiple generations of families smile with confidence.
Education & Experience
Dr. Eric Hickman is a board-certified orthodontist who has proudly served families across Southern Ohio since 1995. A native of Lucasville, Ohio, Dr. Hickman completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and earned his dental degree (DDS) in 1993. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency at the University of Louisville in 1995.
He began his orthodontic career working in several associate positions in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. In March of 1997, he opened his own practice in the Morand Building on Columbia Road. Following a fire in 2003, the practice relocated to its current space on Montgomery Road/US 22-3, where it continues to grow today.

Dr. Hickman is proud to support dental and health-related organizations like the Cincinnati Dental Society, The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Ohio Dental Association Foundation.
Whether it's sponsoring a youth team, backing a local festival, or helping students through scholarships, he believes in making a positive difference both in and outside of the office.

Family Life
Dr. Hickman and his wife have three children: Allison, Sarah, and Scott. Sarah, a 2024 graduate of the University of Louisville Orthodontic Residency Program, has joined him in practice. Allison is a student at the University of South Carolina, and Scott attends Immaculate Heart of Mary School.
As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors—especially golfing—and staying involved in their local community.
