Metal Braces & More

Most patients at Hickman Orthodontics choose metal braces to help straighten their teeth.

Metal braces remain the most widely used treatment in Maineville and Liberty Township, but they’re not the only option available.

After your free consultation, Dr. Eric or Dr. Sarah will recommend a plan that fits your goals, timeline, and smile needs.

Choosing Fixed or Removable Treatment

At Hickman Orthodontics, we believe informed patients make confident choices. That’s why we take time to explain every option before treatment begins.

Patients in and around Liberty Township often ask about the difference between fixed and removable appliances. Fixed options—like metal braces—stay on your teeth until treatment is complete.

Dr. Eric or Dr. Sarah may also recommend removable aligners, such as Invisalign, which are worn most of the day but can be removed for eating and brushing.

We typically use Invisalign to treat mild or moderate alignment issues. For more complex cases, Dr. Hickman usually recommends a fixed approach for more control and consistency.
